Canon EOS 60D

The Canon EOS 60D was the first semi-professional camera I used as I began my photography journey. Released in 2010 as the successor to the EOS 50D, it features an 18.0-megapixel APS-C DSLR sensor and offered a significant step up from the entry-level cameras I had used previously.

The 60D gave me the tools to develop my skills, experiment with manual settings, and produce higher-quality images. Its intuitive controls and solid performance made it an excellent camera to learn on, and it remains a great choice for photographers looking to take their first step into the world of DSLR photography.

Nikon D5100

The Nikon D5100 is considered a solid entry-level DSLR for photographers looking to expand their skills. As my first Nikon camera, it has been an interesting experience. Coming from Canon, I immediately noticed that the controls and menu system feel quite different, so there was definitely a learning curve.

That said, Nikon has a well-earned reputation for producing beautiful images, and I wanted to experience that for myself. Throughout my gallery, you'll find photos taken with both my Canon and Nikon cameras. It will be interesting to see if you can spot the differences in my photography as I continue learning and adapting to a new system.
